Maps Of Central America

Central America is a region on the map which belongs to the larger continental entity called the America. Central America lies on the travelers map as a place between the North and the South America. It spreads over the area of 523,780 square kilometers. There are around seven countries in Central America and its population density is around two hundred and six per square mile.

Thus we know that this region is scarcely populated unlike Asia where the population density is very high. This region is home to some of the earth’s active volcanoes and there is tectonic activity in the region too. This area is also mountainous in character and many of its cities lies in valleys.

Two great civilizations to flourish in this region were that of the Maya and the other one being that of the Aztecs. The Central Americans to boost their economy thought of the creation of a unified monetary system under a body called the Central American Integration System.

The region already has something called the Central American Parliament and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, these are all supra national institutions to boost trade and commerce. There is a lot of dependency on the oceans too for income purposes, the maps of Central America proves the point.
