Liberia is located on the west coast of Africa, it faces the Atlantic Ocean. Liberia maps an area of around 111,369 square kilometers. The capital city of the country is Monrovia which is also the largest city in the country the official language of the country is English.

It got its independence from the United States in 1847. The climate of the country is mostly equatorial. The country was founded by freed American slaves. The economy of the country is basically made up of exports of material like Rubber, iron ore and timber.

There are food products which are imported to support the population. The country also has dealt with the export of diamonds which was also brought from neighbouring countries like Sierra Leon and Angola. The civil war in this country nearly destroyed most of its infrastructure which is again on the road to recovery.

The country has an unemployment rate of eighty five percent which is the second highest in the world. The country is in a lot of foreign debts too.
