The government here functions as a unitary semi presidential republic.  The parliament has two houses consisting of the Senate and chamber of deputies. It has a transitional climate between continental and temperate zones. It is a secular country and the predominant religion in the country is Christianity, with orthodox Romanians making up most of the population.

Romania is an upper middle income economy and with the overthrow of communism in the 1989 this country faced many problems as its industrial base and reforms were very outdated. This country with its new reforms in the new millennium has caught up with the rest.

It has a very low level of unemployment. Its transportation system also needs up gradation and so does the entire infrastructure.
