One of the islands in the South Atlantic Ocean is Saint Helena. It is a British overseas territory which also includes the Ascension islands. Saint Helena maps an area of around hundred and twenty two square kilometers. The capital of this island is Jamestown.

This island has been used by the British to exile people and famous people like Napoleon and the prisoners of Boer wars have been exiled here.The maps of Saint Helena show that these islands are of volcanic origin. This island was however discovered by the Portuguese.

This island shares a tropical climate with gusty winds making the climate temperate. The major religion to be practiced on the island is Christianity. The interesting part about this island is that the island is a mono crop economy and all the income comes from the production of New Zealand.
