Sudan is a country in the northeast of Africa; it is the biggest country of Africa and the tenth biggest country in the world. The country maps an area of around 2,505,813 square kilometers. The capital of the country is Khartoum and the largest city of the country is Omadurman.

The official language of the country is Arabic and English though there are other vernacular languages. The government is a Federal Presidential democratic republic. The country got its independence from United Kingdom in 1956. The country has been a major victim of the civil war and there has been a military coup too.

The climate in the country is divided between the north and the souths where the northern parts have deserts the southern parts have swamps and receive rainfall.

There have been programs given by the IMF to be implemented in the country which will show improvement in the economy.
